CLEANING TIPS

✨ Gold jewelry of any karat can be cleaned lightly using a soft cloth.

✨ For a more thorough cleaning, soak your gold jewelry in a glass of warm water with a drop or two of non-detergent soap to help remove any oils and loosen buildup. Remove after a few minutes and gently pat dry with a soft cloth.

✨ To clean further, use a very soft, worn toothbrush to carefully remove any dirt particles or debris from more intricate components and settings. Keep in mind, jewelry with softer stone settings or large solitaire settings (such as Emerald or Opal) should be sent back to MPJ for professional cleaning.

Jewelry should be worn and treated mindfully with love & care as a sacred talisman. The following are basic and highly encouraged guidelines for keeping your jewelry looking beautiful for a lifetime to ensure the longevity of your piece:

✨ Your jewelry should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.It does not like to get wet. Especially Opals, which are incredibly delicate.

✨ Please put on after you apply perfumes, lotions and hairsprays.

✨ Believe it or not, regardless of price, jewelry that looks delicate is. Please treat it like fine silk.

✨ Please do not wear your jewelry when doing chores of certain kinds. Like gardening, washing dishes or hard labor.

OPAL CARE

✨ Opal is a soft stone, approximately the same hardness as glass (around 6.5 on the Moh hardness scale), so it is important to treat your opal carefully in order to avoid damaging it.

✨ Remove your opal jewelry if there is a chance it will be scratched or broken (i.e. doing the dishes, playing sports, working in the garden, moving furniture, etc.). Opal can be scratched by dirt particles and any hard knocks can cause the Opal to crack.

✨ Most precious opals contain about 5-6% water. As a result, opal may crack if subjected to very dry conditions or rapid changes in temperature.

✨ Opals may be delicately wiped with a damp soft cloth and mild detergent, but should never be soaked or immersed (even washing dishes, showering, wearing into the ocean).

Never allow anyone to clean your opal in an ultrasonic cleaner, as the intense vibrations may cause cracking or water penetration.

✨ If you need to store your Opal away for a prolonged period of time, simply place it in a padded cloth bag for protection and store it away. For longer storage periods, place your opal in cotton wool with a few drops of water, then into a sealed plastic bag just to be safe. The water is not intended to soak into the stone (as opal is impervious) but will prevent water coming out of the stone if it is exposed to very low humidity environments (for example, zero humidity storage safes).

✨ Ethiopian Opals are likely to shift color over time - this is the natural process of the Opal reacting with the elements and part of nature’s beauty. Keeping them out of water is key to keeping their luminescence lasting - so avoid washing hands, showering, wearing to the ocean, applying oils / lotions while wearing your Opal piece.

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR CRYSTALS FROM?

✨ All stones that are part of my Crystal Healer collection are completely one of a kind and unique, sourced directly by my gem miner, Muhammad, who resides in Peshawar, Pakistan, but stones are found all around various parts of the world.  We work closely together to ensure each stone is chosen individually to be perfectly in alignment energetically and aesthetically with the range. These stones are all ethically sourced.

✨ Each stone is then polished, drilled, and made to order by hand in my little studio in the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, California.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH STONE IS FOR ME?

✨ I always, always recommend as first priority to go with what you’re drawn to.  Oftentimes, your first instinct as led by your intuition will be spot on for what energy you’re wanting to align with or needing in your life at this time - don’t overthink it!

Here’s an easy way to clear your mind and become present with your current state of being:

✨ Start by closing your eyes and taking a few slow, deep breaths.

✨ Focus your attention on the ground beneath your feet, gradually relaxing into a naturally comfortable state.

✨ Picture your body within a bright, warm pyramid of white light as you exhale.

✨ Release any impeding stresses that pop into mind, and ask your subconscious to come to the forefront.

✨ Scroll through the photos and see what aesthetically you’re drawn to, then proceed by reading about each energy and determine which one feels right.

💌 hint: you can't make the wrong choice!
